CONDUIT ANNOUNCE HUGE SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVAL FOR FANTASY ISLAND

Tickets go on sale next this week for the biggest live music event on the East coast this summer, the first ever edition of the Fantasy Island Big Weekend will rock Fantasy Island from Friday 31st August to Sunday September 2nd.

Rock supremos STATUS QUO will kick off a three-day music festival at the Ingoldmells resort on  Friday 31st August 2007, followed by top pop goddesses GIRLS ALOUD on Saturday. The event will close on Sunday with a spectacular homage to the 80s, including ABC, GO WEST, TONY HADLEY and THE HUMAN LEAGUE.

East Lindsay District council approved an outdoor entertainment licence for Conduit Entertainments last Thursday. Conduit  plan the event as an annual fixture to enhance and augment the Fantasy Island theme park and leisure attractions and thriving market.

The news follows disclosure of Conduit’s plans to invest £300m in creating one the UK’s largest and most advanced leisure and entertainment resorts at Ingoldmells. Conduit CEO Laurence Davis has gone on the record to demonstrate he believes Skegness and Ingoldmells are one of the most prime sites for leisure development in the UK, and that the seaside resort has world class potential.
